The 2009 AGM This took place on Saturday 7th November in Letchworth at the Broadway Hotel. Key Points: The club will become a Ltd Company on the 1st January 2010. The club will be a Ltd Company by Gtee. That means each existing member's liability will be limited to up to £1. The club will be called 'VVC (UK) Ltd' and will continue to trade as Veteran Vespa Club. The General Secretary reported another good year during which the club was involved in 2 meetings, Painswick and Chobham. Some members also organised a private visit/weekend to France. Membership has now reached 400, a landmark for the club. The web site remains active and receives around 7500 page visits per month, 85% of new membership is acquired via the web site. The web site will continue to be developed, as along with the Journal this is seen as a conduit for many members who do not have the ability to attend events. The Journal continues to be very well received. Due thanks were expressed to Ashley Lenton the Editor and Mau Spencer for their involvement. The Technical team now comprised 7 experts who handled a number of enquiries during 2008/9 As there were no new nominations the existing committee were re-elected. The Membership Secretary preferred not to stand for re-election having undertaken the role for 5 yrs. Peter Rose remains Treasurer and Web manager, Roger Smith has become Membership Secretary with immediate effect. Three 2010 meetings were announced. Tring, Wakefield and a weekend in France. Full details on the Events page as they become available. AOB prompted discussion on rally sites and amenities. A question was raised about VVc support for the VCB's World Days in 2012. Following discussion the AGM agreed more information was needed before this could be considered. Next AGM agreed as 16th October 2010. This will also be the Company AGM.
